Living Arts Daily: Knitting Bunnies for Springtime!

April 4, 2020

Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.  – Robert H. Schuller

Anyone who knits, children included, can make these sweet bunnies in all colors!

You will need to knit a square
Aran or DK yarn in your choice of colors
A strand of black or red yarn for the eyes
A strand of yarn in the same color as the bunny for sewing
A strand of yarn in a contrasting color for creating the shape
A papa-size handful of wool or cotton for stuffing
A golf ball size ball of wool for the tail
Size 6 straight knitting needles

Cast on 24 stitches…but you can also make smaller bunnies with 15 stitches and much larger bunnies with 35 stitches!

Follow these easy directions and you’ll have many, many bunnies very soon! They can be mailed to friends and grandchildren, carried in pockets, baskets and backpacks. No bunny hutch needed!
