Maka’ala has been the Hawaiiana Teacher at Haleakala Waldorf school for 8 years teaching grades 1-8.
Maka’ala was honored with a traditional Uniki ceremony in the lineage of Auntie Ma’iki Aiu Lake as a Kumu (master teacher of hula, oli and mele, as well as Hawaiian culture and history). She will be sharing her knowledge and passion of the Hawaiian culture with us in our training.
