Celebrate Autumn with Mother Earth
A Handwork Workshop with Mindy Upton
Sunday, October 13, 1- 4pm Central
Join Mindy in celebrating Autumn by making a Mother Earth moveable, standing puppet. Mother Earth is the focal point of the nature Table as she works from her special root table, making clothes for all her little ones and prepping all the leaf babies for the coming of spring.
We will create a Mother Earth that can easily move in a puppet show, or hold her special tools in her strong hands. Simple sewing and felting will be used in this class.
Details of the Course Content
This workshop will meet LIVE over Zoom from 1-4 pm; an extended time offered to delve into embellishing your puppet and ways to work with it. In order to create a lively “in-person” feel to the course, these sessions are not recorded.
A note about supplies: Mindy strives to create beautiful crafts that suit multiple skill levels or levels of desire, with upcycled and simple materials that you may have around the house. Materials or supplies may still need to be purchased, if you are new to handwork, and each participant is responsible for procuring their own supplies. You will receive a link to download the list of materials needed for the whole year on the confirmation “Thank You” page that follows registration and payment.
**This course is offered as an enriching experience for parents, care providers and educators, but is not available for CE hours.
