LifeWays offers two levels of trainings that can open new opportunities for you—both professionally and personally:

LifeWays Early Childhood Certification is designed for both parents and professionals. The 220 in-class hours over the course of a year are conveniently offered in cities throughout the US and in Toronto (see Dates and Locations). There is also guided study with a mentor between sessions. LifeWays graduates are using what they have learned

  • With their own families
  • In LifeWays childcare and in-home programs
  • In schools as assistant teachers, or offering parent-child, after-school and childcare programs.

See our National Brochure or the Core Content. For information on how the LifeWays Early Childhood Certification Training aligns with the NAEYC Standards and the CDA Competencies, click here.

LifeWays Continuation Program for Early Childhood Teaching prepares graduates of the Certification Program to teach kindergarten or preschool in a Public Waldorf or private school setting. The additional 240 in-class hours are offered at Kimberton Waldorf School in Pennsylvania, and there is also mentored teaching under an experience teacher.
